From the whare kitchen
Kahurangi Kai began as weekend kai for the marae. Word spread, the bench got longer, and now we feed the whole street. The BASE template gave us a site in an afternoon — no agency, no lock-in, just ours.
Real kai
Seasonal, local, cooked with care. The menu updates as the garden does.
Whānau first
Kids eat free on Sundays. The long table is for everyone.
Slow mornings
Good coffee, good bread, no rush. Bring a book or a mate.
